Police are on the hunt for two people after a man was assaulted in his car at Callaghan over the weekend.
The 20-year-old was driving along Ring Road at about 8:30pm on Saturday, when he was stopped by a group of people.
It’s alleged a man then assaulted him before a woman stole his mobile phone.
He was taken to the John Hunter Hospital with facial injuries.
Investigators are now looking to speak with a man described as being Caucasian, aged in his early 20s, with a muscular build and short hair.
They’re also looking for a Caucasian woman in her early 20s, with a slim build and long blonde or brown hair.
She was last seen wearing a hooded jumper.
