Police have charged a member of the Finks Outlaw Motorcycle Gang with setting fire to two vans in Maryland, last year.
About 1am on Thursday 2 November 2017, Fire & Rescue NSW was called to a home in Berrico Avenue following reports a vehicle had caught alight.
Upon arrival they found two Hi-ace vans had been destroyed by fire.
Officers from Newcastle City Police District attended the scene and commenced inquiries.
On Wednesday, a 28-year-old man attended Newcastle City Police Station where he was charged with two counts of maliciously destroy property by fire.
He was refused bail and is expected to front court on Thursday.
