A man’s been charged after he was forensically linked to the sexual assault of a 15-year-old boy in Cardiff more than 12 years ago.
According to police, the boy was coming home from a party in 2006 when he was attacked by the man and forced into a public toilet cubicle.
The man assaulted the boy before he managed to escape the man and run away.
It’s understood the now 58-year-old man came to the attention of authorities after his DNA was linked to another matter.
He was arrested at Bathurst Police Station on Wednesday and charged with aggravated sexual and indecent assault offences.
He’s been refused bail and will front court again next week.
