Police have arrested and charged a man, after a good samaritan was allegedly stabbed at Bolton Point on Sunday night.
The victim, 35-year-old Glen Smith, was trying to help a young woman escape an abusive relationship at the time.
He was then stabbed at a home in Leumeah Place.
A 32-year-old man was arrested at the Belmont McDonalds just before 7pm last night.
He’s now been charged with murder and will front court today.
While a man in his 50s was also taken into custody but has been released without charge.
