A pet Poodle called ‘Chrissie’ and beloved Lorikeet are recovering after being rescued from a house fire on the Central Coast yesterday.
Fire and rescue crews were called to a two story home in Springfield around 2 o’clock yesterday afternoon after fire took hold in the kitchen.
Family members alerted firefighters to a dog and bird who were trapped on the second floor and after swift action the pair were safety located and return to their grateful owners.
9 – year -old ‘Chrissie’ escaped with some minor smoke inhalation and was left a little blackened by smoke but otherwise unharmed
It’s believed a faulty stove sparked the blaze.
