Tarro Fire station have taken ownership of a brand new, state-of-the-art light Bushfire Tanker.
The multi-purpose truck is one of 18 new firefighting appliances being deployed across the state to better protect communities during fire emergencies.
It’s design will provide for greater access across rugged terrain and will join the stations recently acquired new fire engine.
TARRO Captain, SCOTT PYNE says the new vehicle worth $530,000 will dramatically increase his crew capabilities in the field.
“This tanker allows us to tackle emergencies like fire trucks on the highway more efficiency because the CAFS system extinguishes blazes a lot faster, reducing harm to people and damage to property and the environment.”
