A search will resume this morning for a man missing after he was washed off rocks near Port Stephens yesterday.
Just after 9 am emergency services responded to reports a group of rock fishers had been swept into waters at Fingal Bay.
A woman and two men were winched to safety and treated at the scene, but a fourth man believed to be in his sixties was unable to be found.
An extensive search involving multiple agencies including life guards, POLAIR and Marine Rescue was initiated but called off just after 6pm last night due to dangerous surf conditions.
