Police are investigating after a man with gunshot wounds turned up to the Calvary Mater hospital on Wednesday night.
The 24-year-old mad presented himself to the hospital at about 11pm, suffering wounds to his hand and shoulder.
Police were called, however they were unable to speak to the man due to his medical state.
His injuries aren’t considered life threatening.
At around the same time, police were called to the intersection Acacia Avenue and Allowah Street at Waratah West, after reports of gun shots.
A crime scene has since been established in the area, as investigations continue.
