Police are investigating after a pedestrian was hit and killed in a crash at Stockton.
Emergency services responded to calls of a crash involving a pedestrian at Fullerton Street at around 6:15pm on Tuesday.
Initial investigations suggest a man aged in his 50s was crossing the street when he was hit by a Holden Ute, travelling south.
The man died at the scene, he’s yet to be formally identified.
While the driver of the Ute, a 29-year-old man was breath tested with a negative result and taken to the John Hunter Hospital for mandatory blood and urine testing.
Specialist officers from the Hunter Crash Investigation Unit attended the scene and are investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
