Charges have now been laid over an alleged indecent assault at a Charlestown aged care facility last month.
It’s believed an 83-year-old man was visiting a 94-year-old woman on May 11, when he reportedly attacked her.
A staff member witnessed the incident and led the man from the room.
He was reportedly not seen by staff again.
Investigating police arrested the man on Tuesday afternoon and charged him with indecent assault.
He’s been granted conditional bail to front Newcastle Local Court on August 9.
