A man has died after being pulled from the water unconscious in Port Stephens this morning.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Fingal Beach just after 10am following reports a man was unresponsive in the water.
CPR was administered by paramedics, however sadly he was unable to be revived.
The man is yet to be formally identified but believed to have been in his 70’s.
An investigation will be carried out and a report prepared for the coroner.
