A man is in custody after a police operation extending from the Bathurst area to Newcastle.
On June 7 a house and shed in The Hill end district of Newcastle were broken into.
An alleged thief escaped on a stolen motorcycle with goods from the house, damaging two fences on his way out.
Yesterday, the man was arrested at Newcastle police station and fronted court.
He remains in custody pending another appearance.
