Blood donation is an essential service. Donor centres are open and are places of wellness. NEWFM is a major partner and supporter of the Westpac Rescue Helicopter. The Service delivers world class aeromedical search, rescue and inter-hospital transfers to care for 1.5 million people throughout Northern NSW from three bases in Belmont, Tamworth and Lismore and is approaching 2,000 missions each year.

NEWFM is proud to be the official radio station of Star Struck! A professionally staged NSW Department of Education annual performing arts event for the Hunter and Central Coast. It is a showcase of dance, drama and music performed by students from Kindergarten to Year 12 from a vast network of NSW public schools.
